Moving Mayhem Mixed With Hospital Hilarity.

I'm mega sorry for my noticeable absence in the world of blogging.  Oh, you hadn't noticed?  Oops.

Seriously, I've been overwhelmed by the background concern I've received.  I've been absolutely terrible at responding.  I have been crap at replying to emails.  Please forgive me!  I feel awful about my lack of interaction.  It looks like it's going to be about another week of uncertainty and chaos in my personal life.

The past three months have been a most stressful time in my weird and wacky world.  Complications compounding crazy confusion.  My son was supposed to move into his new place on August 18.  Then the folks who were supposed to move needed more time.  My son's moving date was then supposed to be September 19.  Then, evidently, he's supposed to move into his new home on September 26.

In the meantime, he continues to stay with my ex wife.  If I was of a childish disposition, I might say this was revenge time on her.  Nah, I would never think that. Ha ha and HA!

While he continues to stay with her, he needs a ride to work.  No buses at the time of the morning he has to go to work.  Thus, Mr. Bleary Eyes gets up at 4:30 A.M. to get him to work.  Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet superstar accompanies us.  Soon, she should be living with my son, Tristan.

During this insane time, I had to go to the hospital for a procedure last Thursday that wasn't exactly my idea of a fun time.  Because I wasn't going to be in any condition to drive home after the procedure, my dear friends, Julie and Philip, took me to the hospital and back.  This was the first time I've not gone to the hospital by myself.  I was grateful for the company.

My appointment was for 9:30 A.M.  Upon checking in I told Julie and Philip that I was going to go use the toilet.  I jokingly stated that a nurse would probably ask for me while I was in the toilet.  Wouldn't you know it, upon my return, there was a nurse patiently waiting for me.  It was still another five minutes to my procedure.  I told her that the procedure was for Philip....

The nurse briefed me about the procedure.  Yes, a procedure where the stick a flexible tube down my flexible tube.  "Stan will be looking over proceedings", said the lady nurse.  "Stan's a good laugh!", she continued.  "Great!  I could use a good laugh!", I responded.

I was then sent to a changing room to put on a couple of robes.  "Please remove all your clothes and put on the robes", said another lady nurse.  "You can keep on your socks and trainers", she continued.

I sat there in a comfy chair and waited for about ten minutes.  "Do the blue robes suit me?", I asked the nurse.  She laughed.

Stan the man came over and led me into the room where they would stick a tube in my tube and have a look round with a telescopic camera.  Stan left the room.  I was now alone with three female nurses and a female doctor.  The very friendly, very young, very good looking female doctor explained further about the procedure.  She noted that I'd had a prostate biopsy.  Her notes didn't have the actual date and she asked me if I could recall when I had the biopsy.  Without hesitation, I told her that it was Valentine's Day, 2013. A Valentine's Day I would never forget.  I fondly recall the single prickly rose they stuck up my butt.  No, I made that part up.

Time to go on the bed and open the front of my robe.  All I could think of was that I was going to be lying on a bed with my dignity exposed.

"Pardon me while I have an out of body experience!", I stated to the four ladies.  However, I couldn't resist looking at the screen as the doctor wiggled the tube around.  "I'm just going a bit further and circle back around", she explained.  "What the f**k!  How long is that tube?", I thought to myself.  I mean the tube in my tube, in case you were wondering.  Five minutes later it was all over.

I have been give new medication to see if it helps my waterworks.  The procedure indicated that my insides are pretty well okay.

I got back in Julie and Philip's car and I realised that I must have been medicated. I was wondering why we were driving on the wrong side of the road....Then I remembered I'm in England.

This was quickly typed post.  It's a very long post by my standards.  I wouldn't blame you if you skipped down to here and just read this part.  I just want to let you know that I'm very lucky, very blessed to be living in my new home.  Hopefully, in about a week, I can actually start to savour my new home and get on with my new life.  Heck, I haven't even had time to have empty nest syndrome.

You will note that comments are switched off.  Somehow, I going to try and do a bit of catching up with your blogs.  Yep, you've heard that from me before.  Thank you for being here.  It means more than you will ever know.

Penny's Posh Pad Pawhaps!

Hi there. Yes it's me, Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet superstar!  All of my human Gary's moving malarkey has gone beyond ridiculous.

In order to help him out, I've decided to permanently, um, temporarily take over his blog.  I've actually made the decision to stay with him at his new home for a couple of weeks extra. Okay, the truth is that his son, my human brother, Tristan, was supposed to take me to his new home on August 18. The people who were moving out of the home that Tristan was going to move into have now purchased a different home.  I'm now going to look after Gary until September 19.  Then I shall go live with Tristan.

Rest assured, I shall visit Gary a lot.  Somebody has to get this blog going again. Yep, somebody, as in this celebrity dog, has to get the interaction started up and raring to go.
Gary has been buying brand new furniture. I love to give new furniture the curious scratch test. The sofa bed in the photo has a bed sheet covering it. I love sleeping on the sofa bed.  I've decided it's mine!
Gary!  You woke me up.
At least you never woke up Jack Rabbit.
Such a lovely view out the window. I know that Gary shall be putting up photos of this posh pad fairly soon. Time to take my human for a walk.  Come on human, let's go for another walk......via the stairs and not via the window, I should add....

"Life is Good."

It has been a frantic, hectic time for me.  During my moving to a brand new home, my interaction within the blogging community has been sporadic at best.

It will be like this for about another month. Yet life has been put into perspective. Despite my struggling to cope, I know I'm blessed and grateful for all I have.

On Saturday, August 23, you might be aware of the passing of our beloved friend, Tina Downey.  I had the inspiring honour of interacting with Tina via many an email.  Even exchanging of emails as she lay there in her hospital bed.  Tina and I had much good natured banter.  Her, a co-host of the A to Z Challenge.  I, the ironic opposer of the A to Z.  However, I was truly touched by her sincerity, her compassion for others.  A remarkable lady who made an impact on my heart.

In this often cynical world, Tina embraced the name of her blog.  Yes, "Life is Good" and Tina savoured every moment.  To her family, her friends and from me, Tina will always be loved, never forgotten.

If you haven't had the chance to leave a comment on her site, here is the link : Moving on...on behalf of Tina Downey

I know there will be a number of dedications that will come to light.  Here is one that I would ask you to be so kind as to check out : Sunflowers for Tina - September 8, 2014 #LifeisGood #A to Z Challenge

Time To Cope With A Telescope.

I said I'd try and catch up with commenting on other blogs.  Total fail on that.  My humble apologies.

Since my move from one place to another place, it's been a stressful, chaotic mess.  Doing it all, virtually by myself, has caused me to be most absent from the world of blogging.  It appears it's going to be a stressful, bureaucracy beyond belief, load of crap, for at least another month.  I'm exhausted, both physically and emotionally.

I know how much you've missed me.  I will endeavour to inform you of what transpired with my move in about a week's time.

During the hectic farce that has been moving, I had to go to hospital for a discussion about my ongoing male-type issues.  No, not typical dude constantly moaning and thinking about sex every six seconds. I'm talking about waterworks problems.

The urologist has told me they're going to make arrangements to have me come in and have a "telescope" prodded down my urethra.
The above illustration may be the sort of "telescope" the urologist meant.

Based on my experiences during moving, I visualised a telescope something like the above being shoved down my tormented trouser snake.

The above telescope will have the capability of having an up close view of the rings around Uranus.

Time to cope with a telescope
Maybe yes or maybe nope
Where's there's a willy, there's a way
So they say
I hope
I cope
With the telescope.

Our Movements.

Where am I?  Ah yes, I seem to have experienced a movement.  When I actually have more time, I would like to share my movement with you.  No, not that type of movement!  I'm referring to the movement of my belongings from one location to another location.  To the movement of my son's belongings into a temporary location until his own place is ready to be occupied on August 18.  To the movement of Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet superstar who is staying with me for one week.

I've gone beyond busy as my movement entailed attempting to organise a double movement.  Getting my son sorted, along with all the bureaucratic miscommunication, has left me totally exhausted.

Yes, speaking of movement, there has been a lot of crap involved.  I feel jet-lagged and considering I'm still in the same time zone, that makes it doubly weird.

I shall now try and do some catching up in blogsville.  That and unpack a box.  Further details of the most stressful movement ever in my life, shall be published shortly.  The positive thing is that I'm very proud of how well I coped while those around me were freaking out.

While trying to somehow get back into the blogging community flow, I've switched comments off on this blog post.

In the meantime, if you would let me chew on your fingernails, that would be greatly appreciated.
This is a sneak preview view from my new home.

The Garden In Seasons.

In just over a week, I shall be moving to a new home.  A fresh start with new adventures and opportunities.  The garden I leave behind, created out of squalor, truly a legacy of what can be accomplished when your heart tells you so.
An autumn view.  Gazing out the living room window, I marvel at the trees, at the leaves, emblazoned in colourful splendour.
Autumn and the remnants of summer, blend together in the harmony of change
Penny, beloved Jack Russell dog, watches over proceedings.  Leaves fly about the garden in resplendent whirlpools that whoosh from spot to spot.
The winter.  Layers of snow draped upon the trees.  Noises are muffled as the snow gently drifts and crunches underfoot.
Mr. Snowman smiles.
The wee folks rejoice as glowing orbs of snow gently float around them.

Penny the snowplough.
Snow and ice-encrusted wind chimes.  Nature's music in the midst of winter.
Spring arrives.  Even the wee folks want to help hang up the laundry.

The dawn of misty spring morn.
The wee folks getting ready to rake up the excess autumn leaves and mow the spring lawn
A sunny July morning.

A curious fox strolls across the garden.
A late summer's eve as the magical lights doth glow.
Night has descended.
Summer lights on the patio.

In amongst the night time flowers, behold Fidelina, the beautiful fairy princess, her husband, Geoffrey the garden gnome and their adorable son, Einahalk.
With the radiance of a magical lamp, the wee folks gather round to sings songs of peace, of love.

A summer's afternoon.  Penny protects the wee folks.
All is good in Penny's world.

The summer moon.  Like a droplet of light from the leaves.
Looking towards the west.  I stare out into the heavens.  A sense of serenity.

There be wonder in the enchanted garden.  A garden, an oasis, a sanctuary for my thoughts.  Now I shall leave the garden behind.  Memories treasured of what I've done.  Inspiration for the now.  Inspiration for the new adventure in my new home.

I hope to see you there....

Good Morning, Rainbow.

It was just gone five on the Friday morn
A sprinkling of rain welcomed the dawn
The rising sun reflected the rain
The emotions I felt, hard to contain
Solar rays kissed the skies
Filled such colour in my eyes
A rainbow or two
A magical view.
Then came the dream
The rainbow stream
Of flowing thoughts
Of hopeful reports
A symbol of change
Time to arrange
That brand new start
That sings in my heart.
