It's All About This.

When I do a posting, it's all about this.
It's all about a single father raising his son on his own.  About bringing up a young child in a safe, peaceful environment.  It's all about doing the best I can while battling with my mental illness.

It's all about my little boy, Tristan and a puppy named, Penny.  Symbolic of hope, of love.
It's all about my little boy who became a young man.  And those special moments, captured in a smile on a sunny day.
It's all about a puppy who became older but still listens to the voice of her inner puppy.

It's all about Fidelina, the beautiful fairy princess and her husband, Geoffrey the garden gnome.
It's all about their little boy, Einahalk.  An ideal created from love in the world of the wee folks.  A world that has lessons to teach us humans.  About living in an all different, all equal world.  Where no judgement is made.  No stigma attached.
It's all about the award that Penny sent out to humanity.  An award that has circulated this planet spreading goodwill and peace.  A gesture that embraces the unconditional, non-judgemental love that our animal friends share with us.

It's all about me continuing to live with, rather than suffer from my mental health issues.  It's all about my transparency and trying to be of help, of encouragement to you.

It's all about this and it's all about you.  For I'm grateful to you on the other side of the computer screen.  Thank you for being here for me.

It's Happy Tag Time!

Yippee, I've been tagged!  Now the tagged I'm referring to has nothing to do my with blogging parole tag. The tag that means I can't write beyond my blogging curfew which starts now and ends later.  So, please don't inform the blogger police.

Three amazingly nice people have laid a happy tag on my shy and humble self.  It's the, "Five Things That Make Me Happy", tag.  You might have figured out that I have to list five things that make me happy.  The three amazingly nice people that bestowed this upon me are Jeff, over at, Stands of Pattern, Yolanda, over at, DEFENDING THE PEN and the ever smiling Tammy, over at, Tammy Theriault . Thank you, you three fabulous folks, very much and now I shall list five things that make me happy.
1 : My son, Tristan, made this snowman on March 29.  This made me happy and I was happy to add the scarf and the Vancouver Canucks toque, eh.
2 : Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet superstar, has her very own special award that she sends out every once in awhile. No rules, no links required back to this site. Just spreading happy wishes around the world.  This makes me happy.
3 : Tresaith beach, mid-Wales. This brings back fond memories of a perfect early August day last year.  It was a happy day on a happy beach with happy friends.  And now you can click on this photo to make it larger and have a wander around the beach. That would make me happy. The recollection makes me happy.
4 : A view from my garden.  A drop of moonlight falls from the leaves.  A magical site on a magical night in my magical garden.  This makes me happy and at peace with nature.
5:  The fox I observed in my garden from the living room window last summer.  This vision, along with the beaming smile that returned to my son's face, made me very, very happy.

I now have to pick five folks for tagging purposes and if they so wish, submit five things that make them happy.  I know that Jeff, Yolanda and Tammy have made me happy picking me to reveal five happy thoughts.  So who the heck shall I pick?  *Taps fingers on table.*

1 : The lovely, the adorable and gosh darn nice, Joylene.  Joylene Nowell Butler, Suspense Author

2 : The man who may also be a cat.  How about that.  Time to rhyme five happy thoughts?  I eagerly await your poetic reports.  Pat Hatt is all of that.   He can be found, with rhyming abound, here, me dear :  It's Rhyme Time

3 :  And here's my friend who calls me "quotidian."  Dave, are you ready to put up five happy thoughts?  A Day in the Life

4 :  Perhaps Elise would partake in this?  Five happy thoughts to make your day.  Elise Fallson

5 :  Okay Rob, what do you reckon?  After this, we can have a blogfest about not having a blogfest.  Five happy thoughts to share with us, Rob?  ...The Slightly Eccentric Diary of Rob Z Tobor...

Just wanted to let the five incredibly lucky recipients know there is no obligation to do this. I leave it up to your good selves.

Thank you, Jeff, Yolanda and Tammy for tagging me in such a happy tag.  That's it, I'm going for a lie down now.....

Penny's Pawfound Pawsitive Pawsting Pawsenting "P" Paw "Penny"!

Hi there, yes it's me, Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet superstar!  I've noticed my human, Gary, yes the guy I so kindly allow to live with me, has been doing some sort of alternate alphabet challenge. He's a rebel.  A non-conformist.  Likes to do things his way.

I also notice he seems to be doing the alphabet in reverse and doing more than one letter at a time on his postings.  Well to heck with doing more than one letter at a time.  Yep, despite my obvious modesty, this pawsting, oops, posting is dedicated to just one letter.  The letter "P".  Indeed, "P" as in me, Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet superstar!  And in honour of me, I'm going to delight you with a bunch of photos of me, yes me, such a humble dog.
That's right, I have my very own award that I send out to bloggers just to say
thank you.  I have sent this award to humans and animals who understand the ideals of unconditional, non-judgemental love.  There are no rules.  Never a need to link back to my site.  Just an award with a lot of meaning, a lot of feeling.  This award has travelled the world.  It has spread the peace and joy intended.

Note my award being part of a poster campaign.
Here I am guarding over the wee folks in my magical garden.
Two of my adoring fans idolising one of my posters.
One of my larger billboards.  I believe they're about to remove me and replace my amazing self with an ad for a Kim Kardashian perfume set.  Oh the horror of it all!
I'm sure you are aware I have millions of adoring feline fans.
Hello cat.  Yes I pawmise to pawst another pawsting fairly soon.

Hello to my fans in Canada, eh!
Having some moments of gentle reflection as my human brother, Tristan, sleeps.
Almost time for me to go.  And go, I really need to go.  Come on Tristan, hurry up and get out of the bathroom!  Time to take you for a walk.
Wish me luck.  This diva dog has to watch out for the pesky 'puparazzi' that always hound me.  Come on Tristan, I need to "P"........

That Ribbon Would Be Perfect For My Rhythmic Gymnastics Routine.

Hi, yes it's me, Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet star.  I realise you've been anxiously waiting for another must read article from me.  I noted that a few bloggers have said they cannot think of anything to write about.  The solution, if you have a dog, or a budgie, or a rabbit, or an iguana, or even, heaven forbid, a cat, is let them take over the peeboard, I mean keyboard and share to an expectant world, their words about unconditional, non judgemental love.
Besides, with me taking over this site, it lets Gary, the human I so kindly allow to live with me, take a bit of a break so he can reflect upon all the writing tips I've tried to teach him.
Arf! Arf!  Yes indeed, I have received the "Fabulous Blog Ribbon" award from a human who recognises what a marvel, what a talent I am.  Thus, I wish to thank that lovable Canadian human, Joylene Nowell Butler for the award.  Joylene, who writes an amazing blog and is a published author, can be discovered, if for some strange reason you've never visited her site, right here  >>>>> Joylene Nowell Butler, Suspense Author .

That ribbon would be perfect for my rhythmic gymnastics routine.

Oh my, here are the rules in accordance with this award.

1 : Post the rules on your blog.
2 : Name five of your most fabulous moments, either in real life or in the blogosphere.
3 : Name five things you love.
4 : Name five things you hate.
5 : Pass the award onto five other bloggers.

Five Fabulous Moments.

1 : The day I first met Gary's son, Tristan.  I knew, right then and there, that I would go and live with him.
2 : The day I realised that I could "Google" myself .  I typed in "Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet star" and wow, there is loads of stuff about me, yes me, modest me.
3 : The time I went out wearing sunglasses and fooled the 'puparazzi'.  Nice not to be hounded, for a change.
4 : The realisation that whenever I do a pawsting, sorry, posting, the number of visits on this site go through the ruff, I mean roof.
5 :  The wonderful feeling I had that my very own award, "The Gold Framed Dog Blog Award", spread joy and wonder around the world.

Five Things I Love.

1 : I love Tristan.
2 : I love Gary.
3 : I love humans who treat us animals with the same love and affection we show them.
4 : I love the sun shining through the window.
5 : I love to go for walks and observe the magic of the great outdoors.

Five Things I Hate.

1 : Thunder and lightning.
2 : Fireworks being set off outside my home.
3 : Seeing my humans sad.
4 : Watching other animals on television and finding I cannot be with them.
5 : People who are cruel to animals.

The Five Bloggers.

1 : Ten lives and second chances
2 : CindyLu'sMuse
3 : BrownDogCBR
4 : Four Legged Views
5 : Inside the chicken coop

I would ask you kindly, if you have never visited the above blogging links, to check them out.  And you might of guessed they all have some sort of animal theme.  All of them passionate about demonstrating the unconditional, non-judgemental love that we animals so freely share.
Pawsitive wishes and doggy kisses, Penny xx

How Sweet It Is.

Greetings, yes, tis I, Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet star.  I have been honoured to have received "The Irresistibly Sweet Blog Award"  from that lovable dog friend, Indy and her wonderful human, Teresa, over at this pawesome and awesome site : A Likely Story.   I thank you both very much for thinking of me.

I am supposed to reveal seven facts about myself.   Hopefully, I am not being too repetitive.   Still, even if I am, it's always good to share with you, my adoring fans, facts about this modest internet star.   So, for your delight, here goes.

1:  I have to be cautious when I go out for walks.   The 'puppyarazzi' take every opportunity to hound me for a photograph.
2:  I like to watch television and I start barking when I see horses on the screen.
3:  I am very kind and allow my human to take a break from his writing by doing one of my highly anticipated pawstings.
4:  I have attempted to teach my human, Gary, how to be a better writer.  Alassie, sorry, alas, he will not pay attention to my helpful hints.
5:   I know I've mentioned this before.  My left hip had to be removed when I was a little puppy.   Muscle has grown in the place of the missing hip.   And yes, you could call me 'one hip dog'....
6:   My young human, Tristan, finally got out of the bathroom the other day and took me for a walk.  If I had waited any longer, he would of discovered a nasty surprise in the hallway.
7:  I have my very own award that I pawsonally created.   It is called, "The Gold Framed Dog Blog Award" and has brought joy and inspiration to bloggers all over the world.   It has, according to my pawblicity team, even reached the surface of Uranus.  You may note my award in the photograph below.

Now I must forward "The Irresistibly Sweet Blog Award" onto seven worthy and wonderful bloggers.
Although I consider all of you to be excellent recipients of the award, here are seven examples that I think are superb read.

1:  thefeatherednest
2:  Nancy S. Thompson
3:  Prufrock's Dilemma
4:  Positive Letters....inspirational stories....
5:  Austanspace
6:  Cat Chat with Caren & Cody
7:  The Scribbling SeaSerpent

And with that, I, Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet star, wish you a peaceful and pawsitive day.......

Paw Attention.

Greetings.   Yes, tis I, Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet star.  Here's a photo of me talking to  one of my many admirers.  Yes, even cats recognise my obvious writing prowess.  Hey cat!   Calm down.   I do understand you are starstruck seeing my awesome self.

You may have noted in the post before this post that the human I so kindly allow to live with me,  put up an award announcement.   Yes indeed, it was the 'Friendly Blogger Award.   However, the friendly blogger who bestowed this award to this site, included me as a friendly blogger.   So, in fairness, it's my turn to add some more friendly bloggers to the list.   Thanks again Teresa, who can be found here,  A Likely Story , for thinking of me and that human, Gary.

Here goes, the Friendly Blogger Award to these bloggers to do as they wish with.

16   HATTATT

And just like my human noted,  we think of all of you who so kindly visit our site, a friend.  We are very grateful.

Speaking of friendly, honourable mention must go to Casper the friendly ghost writer.

And of course, that famous Canadian, 'The Friendly Giant'.

In case any of you doubted that I do my own posts.....well, here you go, the above photo is of me formulating  this article.   All I have to do now is press...... "PAWBLISH POST".......
