A Premium Bond.

I've been completely overwhelmed by the support and encouragement I received in such profound ways on my last posting.  I'm deeply grateful.  Such response is clear demonstration of the caring, sharing ideals we embrace.

Ideals that reinforce the determination to make real change in our world.  Those who would have the audacity to try and suppress, only make us stronger.

For the past four years I've been one of many victims in Britain.  Situations, no matter where you live, you might relate to.  The vulnerable, the sick, the disabled, the mentally ill, have been targeted by a ruthless British government.  They have done their utmost to be positive energy saboteurs.  This, with the new awareness of their evil, will cause their despicable actions to be remembered at the next general election.

I dream of a world where compassion replaces corruption.  Compassion is not a weakness, but a beautiful strength.

We have a premium bond.  We bond together in this new hope.  A premium bond that will pay dividends to our children.  A legacy of looking after this fragile planet, our fragile people and our fragile wildlife.

    1. Hi Elizabeth,

Good points. The greedy target the needy. A lot of the politicians were already millionaires. Our deplorable Prime Minister, David Cameron, was born into a life of privilege and wealth. He hasn't a clue and worse, he doesn't care.

  7. It seems to me that the powers that be will always take from the most vulnerable. The last few months when I have been barely been able to care for myself I have had to fight for every bit of care I have received. I cannot begin to count the number of times that the ball was dropped and I had to fight for even the most basic needs. From medication to appointments that were canceled by professionals at the last minute to referrals that were not made. It made a horrible situation almost unbearable. There was many points where it indeed get to be "too much" but the only other option was suicide.
Gary, I wish I could be optimistic.

    1. Hi Birdie,

The evil powers that be in Britain are causing the misery of so many. The undue stress you incur is outrageous. The horrible irony is that with you constantly living in such uncertainty, doing the best you can, battling bureaucracy, leaves you in a further state of despair. Yes, I know of it reinforcing mental and physical health issues.

You will continue to embrace the support of your loved ones. Over here, I do it alone and I'm getting even sicker. People are dying in Britain because of our government. They have blood on their hands!!

Birdie, stay with it and sense my empathy coming your way. I can barely type this and yet, I have a glimmering bit of optimism that those who would cause us such anguish will be in for a big shock. A peaceful defiance has started and believe me, it gathers a worldwide momentum.

      Hugs and hope, dear Birdie,

  20. Gary, I just found an amazing book that I think most of the world can benefit from... since I think we are all to some degree traumatized by life. It is called Unlearn Your Pain by Howard Schubiner, M.D. I bought mine off of Amazon and it has a meditation CD in it. The book delves into Mind Body Syndrome, which most doctors aren't aware exists. The power of the mind is incredible in terms of how we process our pain and that pain, in turn, manifests itself into illness in our bodies. Reading this book, I can finally see a light at the end of my pain tunnel and it makes me want to tell EVERYONE about it. I don't know that this will be your Ultimate Solution, but I think it has information in it that will improve the life of everyone who reads it. Be well, my friend!

    1. Hi Robin,

Although not aware of the book you so thoughtfully mention, I'm very aware of the powers of the mind. I shall check out that book. What I do know is this. A positive environment starts from within. The mind and the body are intertwined. This is powerful and inspiring.

I also know is this. The policies I'm being subjected to over here could leave me homeless. This is negative speculation, which means I have to focus on realistic, positive anticipation that all will be fine. If only the British government would stop dredging up my own deep traumas. It is mental cruelty.

I wish you better health in your ongoing quest, dear Robin.

I was here but did I forget to comment or what? Anyway I'm glad I stopped back. I just read the above comment and sounds like I'm a copy cat.

Your last sentence is a grabber. Many people suffer but our poor planet takes a hard hit that is seldom noticed as it happens. I remember in the 50's, right after the war, the popular saying was…. "Invest in plastics and chemicals. That's where the future lies." And everyone did just that and the big corporations got to be fat cats. Have you seen the program or documentary, something about after the people have gone. It shows the greenery coming back after the cities are empty and barren of people.

I hope your weekend was a peaceful, hopeful time, dear lady.

    1. Hi Crystal,

A sunset as red as red Leicester cheese :) You understood that the photo was symbolic of the beauty out there. We see it and we are inspired. Focus on peace.

      Thank you, dear Crystal.

  54. Your photo is gorgeous. There will always be corruption in this world, but we can choose not to become a part of it and instead seek out the beauty and the wonder, and to be grateful for those in our lives.

    1. Hi Carol,

I appreciate that. Corruption tries to choke us. Yet, we will not be suffocated by such nastiness. We both focus on our blessings. Those who would sabotage us, be damned.

      Thank you, Carol.

  56. I completely agree. Compassion is a strength. It's a shame more people don't see the beauty and power in it.

    1. Hi Jeff,

You, my kind friend, are the very ethos of compassion and strength. Those who are insecure within themselves, choose to be corrupt. It's very sad.

      Thank you, Jeff.

  57. There is power in compassion -- it nourishes the soul and plants seeds of hope. We each have the power to give it roots. And so we shall, one seed at a time.

  58. Misery enjoys company as they say. Narcissism seems like a culprit for so much pain and suffering in the world. A life filled with fear and misery leads one to die alone and miserable. I do not chose this for myself. That is my own mission in this life. That is our mission together.

    1. Hi Static,

Indeed it does. We try to do our best to not let the positive energy saboteurs impose on our right to a peaceful life. Time for a real change for the better, good sir.

    1. Hi Tammy,

I know of what you allude to. It's a worldwide battle against those who would suppress the most vulnerable. Like you, I have been involved in rallies and I have worked with the homeless, the rough sleepers. You are a good person. I shall keep that a secret, Tam-bare! :)

      Nah, what's up doc!

And compassion is an integral part of the premium bond.

  61. Dreams are meant to come true, if only in the hearts of those around us. Government was never meant to be nurturing, and too many times, politicians have their own agendas anyway.

  62. Hi M.J.,

My human is still recovering from the latest bombardment of anxiety from the British government. Thus, I am responding on his behalf. If the hearts around us share the ideals of making this world more compassionate and replacing corruption, that would be a dream my human and I embrace. Governments were also not supposed to make the most vulnerable in society commit suicide due to ruthless legislation. I'm a pawlltician with a pawsitive and transparent agenda.
