'BS' Time.

Over the weekend we 'celebrated' 'BS' time in Britain.  Nothing like a bit of BS.   And when I say 'BS',  I'm not making reference to 'Behavioural Sciences', 'British Standards', 'Britney Spears' or the one you might be thinking of, 'Bull Shit'.  Although, some might suggest that Britney Spears and Bull Shit are the same thing.
No, what I'm referring to is 'British Summer Time' or as y'all might call it where you live, 'Daylight Savings'.  Now then, 'Daylight Savings' sounds like the name of a bank.  These days, the 'Daylight Savings' bank, might seem more like 'Daylight Robbery'.
And thus, on Sunday, March 27 at 1:00 A.M., the clocks in Britain moved forward, one hour.  This meant that the good folks in North America, were now one hour further behind us.  For two glorious weeks, y'all were one hour closer.  This was something I had to remember when I made my phone calls to British Columbia.
Anyway, enough of my BS in regards to BS time.  The rest of this boring posting has to do with me receiving another, much to my surprise, award.  Gosh, I'm so not worthy.

Before I go onto the award, here is a photo of my cock, I mean clock and my friend 'Scarecat' who will soon be out in my garden watching over the vegetable patch.

To my huge surprise, I have had the 'Stylish blogger Award' bestowed upon me again, not by one blogger, but by two.  I am deeply touched that the two following bloggers considered me for such a prestigious and yes, much loved award.  Thus I wish to thank  BROWNDOGCBR , a site that is all about the adventures of everyday life of 'Hawk' or 'Hawkeye' the dog.  If you have not visited this pawesome site, please go check it out.  Thank you.
And also to my dear friend Heather at Soundoff  who writes such provocative, thoughtful and highly inspirational stories of hope and gratitude.  If you haven't visited Heather's site before, I would highly recommend that you go and read the stories of this amazing lady.  Thank you.

The rules stipulate that I'm supposed to tell you seven things about myself and then forward this award onto seven notable bloggers.  Now, I mentioned five things when I got this award before.  The rules seem to keep changing.  Anyhow, whatever, this time, I shall not bore you with anything about my shy and humble self.

This time, I going to forward the award on rather differently.  There are just so many bloggers to choose from and it always puts me in a dilemma.  I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings who might have wondered why I didn't include them in my list.  So, because of that, if you grace me with visiting my site, consider the 'Stylish blogger Award, well and truly yours.

  4. Awww, I'm disappointed, I thought this post was going to be all about some other kind of BS. Oh well, welcome to the dark mornings and longer evenings, Gary, and congrats on yet another award for your trophy cabinet. I could feel my cable connection groaning under the weight as it downloaded the page.

  6. It's just no surprise that you are receiving not only one, but two more awards! Gary - you are loved!!

So, let me get this straight - y'all are two hours ahead of us?? (I get confused easily lol) oh - and LOVE the comment about "daylight savings bank" :)

  9. Congrats, Gary!! =)
I've seen many awards get passed on just for the heck of it, but I must say you truly deserve & have earned each & everyone in your list there.

  10. Congratulations with your award!!!!

My first reaction to BS Sunday gone was, "Already?!?! So soon?!?! But it's still frosty in the mornings?!?!!"!

I just like going home in the bright sunshine (well it's rather grey and overcast now but the sentiment is there!! LOL!).

    Take care

  11. Congrats on the award, Gary. It's true. You are very stylish. I've seen the fancy clothes and wacky wigs you wear (say that 7 times fast) with your cock out. I mean clock hangin' out. Do you know where your hands are on your "clock"? Seriously though, you deserve the award, dude. You do exude style in both your writing and your good self.

I know what you mean about the "award handing outing" and the "facting about yourselfing" and all that gobbledy goop. You can only say so much about yourself that's even remotely interesting after so many times. I had that problem with the blog awards I've been given and I'd change the rules towards the end and also change the part about giving the awards to so many people (for the same reason as you). I had this in mind when I created my own award over at PC- that's why I threw in some variety in my flexible rules.

About your BS... It really is a pain in the ass, isn't it? We started ours, in America, March 13th. You might have known that, though. It's great for the farmers here but not for anyone else. Hey, thanks for the award. I'm sure everyone who stops by does, too. Take care, man and have yourself a very stylish day.

  13. Hi Ian,
Well eh, I reckon that what I write is definitely 'BS' as in Bullshit! :)
And welcome to being back to eight hours behind this time zone, instead of seven, as it was for two weeks. Me confused or what eh.
Thanks for the congrats and yes, all those awards loading up on my sidebar can take ages :)
    Cheers Ian.
    Kind wishes, Gary.

  14. Hi Sharon,
I think you may have read a load of BS in my blog, anyway :)
Thanks for the congrats, Sharon. I'm having a busy week getting ready for my trip to Canada eh.
Hope all is well with you.
In kindness and positivity, Gary :)

  15. Hi CindyLu,
Wow, thanks for saying I'm loved :) Coming from someone as adorable as you, is really flattering.
Okay, on the East Coast of North America, as an example, for two weeks, from March 13 until March 27, you were four hours behind Britain, when normally the time zone difference is five. So now that we have gone on to BS Time or Daylight Savings, we have moved ahead again by one hour. Yes, it's bloody confusing for me and I guess, for y'all :)
Now I'm wondering if you have an account at the 'Daylight Savings' bank....
All the best, your way, Gary :)

  16. Hi GEM,
Me too. I love those nice and light, long summer evenings :)
Indeed, you are very much stylish and I think it's time that me, shy and humble me, had a better visit or your thoughtful blog.
With respect and kind wishes, Gary :)

  17. Greetings Hilary,
Thank you for the congratulations. Ah yes, the longer evenings are quite the tonic after that dreadfully cold weather we had back in December, especially :)
    Take very good care.

  20. Congratulations Mr. Stylish! I suppose it was the high fashion photo with the strategically placed ribbon that has earned you such illustrious recognition along of course with your fantastic writing. Seriously, this award is really well deserved Gary.

That Daylight Savings is called BS in Britain is beyond words priceless! BTW, did you find the hour I lost a few weeks ago?

  21. Hi Old Kitty,
Why thank you for the congrats :)
Of course, the weekend was one hour shorter and when we got up an hour 'earlier' on Monday, it was pretty darned frosty.
Ah yes, going home in the bright sunshine. Well, the bright sunshine was nice while it lasted. Then again, let's see what happens in the summer. You know summer? The warm part of the British winter! :)
All the best and 'Scarecat' says hello to you and Charlie :)

  22. Why howdy Kelly,
Thank you ever so much n'stuff for congratulating me on yet another award.
Yes sir, I am very stylish. "I've seen the fancy clothes and wacky wigs you wear (say that 7 times fast)" Okay, "that 7 times fast."
Which reminds me, just wanted to thank you for sending me over all your classically cool kinky cocky clothes. I'm particularly fond of the pink tutu and the hickory dickory dock, the mouse ran up the cock, ummm...clock, electronic game to amuse and delight all my weird and wonderful neighbours.
And on a serious note, thank you for saying I exude style in my writing and in my ever so humble self. The admiration is most assuredly, mutual :)
I knew would relate to handing out awards and 'thrilling' folks with some really neato stuff about ourselves. How many times does a person need to know I once played ice hockey goalie without wearing a jockstrap and the fact I played the best game of my life?
For sure, the thing is the 'rules' seem to keep changing on the different awards and I get confused at the best of times. That's why the award you created with the flexible 'rules' was so much fun.
At one time, we all changed over to Daylight Savings or BS Time, at the same time. It's bloody nightmare for those two weeks now that I have to remember what time it is in North America and realise, that for those two wonderful weeks, y'all were one hour closer to lil' ol' Britain.
I've heard that the cows on the farm were the ones complaining. I mean, we all know that cows are like really aware of time zones and creating loads of methane gas so bad that it could knock a buzzard of a shit wagon.
Hey man, you're welcome for the award, along with the rest of y'all. Kelly, now you go and stick this award on your site and add it to your bulging trophy cabinet.
"Do you know where your hands are on your "clock"?" Ah yes I do, the hands on my clock are at the 'stroke' of midnight! :)
    Cheers y'all.
Take good care and keep smiling.
Kind wishes and some British cow fumes, your way, Gary :)

  23. Howdy y'all,THE SNEE,
Awe shucks n' stuff, Rebecca. Thank you for such stylish congrats :)
Apparently, the blue ribbon on my sombrero was an award, also. Something about 'The Prick's Wearing His Hat In The Wrong Place' Award.
I'm really honoured that you would think my moronic musings are even worth a glimpse. That's very kind of you.
Yes, y'all, welcome to BS Time. I know that soon, I shall be in Pacific Daylight Savings Time. I have found your lost hour and it is now back in place until October :)
    Thanks Rebecca.
Kind wishes and happy smiles, your way, Gary :)

  24. Gary, you,my friend, are going to have to stop accepting awards. You are making us other bloggers look like unloved, mouth-breathing, wallbanging, trolls with all of your fully-deserved, lovely awards. As I said, I'm thinking of making my own Count Sneaky Award to be given indiscriminately,to bloggers who are both jealous and unloved, or just plain obnoxious.
Again, congratulations! Again, well deserved. That's no BS. Daylight Saving Time, here in the States, is another example of our politicians pandering to Hereford, Guernseys, and other cattle breeds named after places in the Motherland.

  25. Congrats on being so stylish. I love this post. Happy British Summer time. I love summer in England when it never gets fully dark at night and the days seem to laze on and on.

  26. We changed our clocks forward too. I wish we could leave that way. I still can't see the advantage of darkness at 3pm in the winter. Someone please convince me of the necessity.

Hey--congratulations on your award, Gary, you stylish blogger you!

  27. Hi Gary,

  28. Dear Gary,
Yet another award, then, Gary (yawn!). I believe this is the second time you've received this one, so well done once gain.
I seem to be going through an award-free phase, but I'm not jealous or anything like that. But, it would be nice to get one just now and again, just so's I know that people might like me. Yes, that they might...actually...like me!
As for British Summertime, I'm glad that you'e adjusted your cock, sorry, clock, appropriately. One only wishes that the weather would realise that it's now Summertime.
Yours, wanting to be liked and with Very Best Wishes,
    David.

  29. Hi Count Sneaky,
Seriously, Henry, this whole blogging award thing does create a dilemma. I know it's respectful to acknowledge these awards, but I truly don't think I deserve these awards more than anyone else.
Oh I do so hope you create the 'Count Sneaky Award', perhaps a cynical category for those self-obsessed and self-promoting bloggers who quite frankly, do my head in with their crap.
Thanks for the congrats. And here's to American politicians and American cattle. Well actually, just to American cattle :)
    Cheers Henry.
With respect and good wishes, Gary.

  30. Hi Jai,

  31. Hi Joylene,
Yes you did move your clocks forward. And to add to my confusion, you changed over two weeks earlier than in Britain :)
I wonder why they just cannot leave the clocks as they are now. I understand what you mean.
Thanks for the congrats, you fellow stylish blogger, you.
    In kindness, Gary :)

  32. Hi Dixie,
And happy 'BS' time to you. Thanks for the congrats, but I will never be as stylish as your good self :)
Always a delight to visit you blog and it's nice to note you have been blogging more, lately. And I'm really pleased to read that, overall, your life seems to be better :)
Thanks Dixie and yes, I'm thrilled to be going back to Canada and visit all my adoring fans :)
Kind and happy wishes, your way, Gary.

  33. Dear David,
Yes, I've been bestowed this particular award on another occasion. I think you understand that these awards do cause a dilemma in my poor brain.
David, you have received a few awards from me and also from Dixie. Now, I haven't gone trawling through you site, but I'm aware that you have received a 'Beautiful Blogger' and a 'Lovely Blogger' award, amongst others. Recently, you were 'tagged' by me to help promote your superb and articulate blog. In fact, my good friend, I have done quite a bit to promote you because I believe you have an important message that more folks should be made aware of.
David, when you find the time, you must be more proactive in 'blogland' and you will discover that people will read your articles and actually like you.
I would suggest you go through your blog archives and note all the awards you have received and place the awards, if you so wish, on your sidebar. I offered to show you how to do this. The offer still stands.
So far, this spring has been quite pleasant. Although today it's raining. Now then, the British summer has been rather non-existent over the last few years. Let's hope this summer, we actually have a summer.
David, you are liked. It's up to you, if this is what you want, to be even more recognised.
    With respect, your friend, Gary.

  34. Hi Y'all!

I've been so busy this past week that I'm way behind in my reading!

Let me tell you, my Human and I have really, really enjoyed catching up with y'all!

And wow! I picked today when you wrote up your award!

My Human was really laughing and enjoying the BS too!

The sunset pictures of Leek were fantastic. Impressive. Of course we had to join y'all for a cup of coffee and a stroll in your garden.

The evening would not be complete without the award for originality!

As soon as my Human finishes her cup of tea...made with the leaves, not U.S. tea bags...I have to drag her outside. Hopefully she'll stop laughing by then!

    Y'all come back now,
    Hawk aka BrownDog

Congratulations, once again, for well-deserved recognition. Recognition from one's peers is the best kind! Cheers!

And thank y'all for giving this here stylish n' stuff award to me and that darned human I allow to live with me.
Gary is very good when it comes to talking and writing 'BS'.
And ever so delighted that you enjoyed the sunset photos of Leek. It was a very nice cup of coffee we shared in my human's lil' ol garden.
I think y'all are pretty darn original, yourselves :)
Hoping your human enjoyed her cup of tea and had a very good chuckle.
My goodness, all this talkin', barkin', in American English is quite something. Per chance you might like to learn some jolly good English, English? :)
Take very good care of your lil' ol' selves.
