Penny's Pawsitive Pawlitics.

Gary asked me to write this blog
He seems to be in a bit of a fog
He's wanted to write
About his plight
Assessments galore
More and more
Had a face to face
At our place
 Wont leave him be
The stress I see
Punish him for being ill
They seem to get a sadistic thrill
So in bed he lays
 Some kind of daze
Yet beyond the haze
I know he'll see much better days.
A warning to the British regime
We have a dream
Animals will rule
That will be cool
No more corruption
Causing disruption
In the hearts of the poor
We even the score
A revolution
Evolution
We will be free
You will see
Houses of Pawliament
We will be sent
Pawliticans
On peaceful missions
Pawlitics
Without the tricks
I'm the next Paw Minister
Nothing sinister
Compassion
The fashion
Love the passion.

  3. Gary, I am sad to read this. The same is happening here for me in Canada. Every time I take a step forward I feel like some government bureaucrat yanks me back. I want to be well and if THEY just let me live my life and do what I need to do I would be better quicker. THEY do not know that their interference makes it worse. They time I spend proving that I am not well could be spent on actually getting well.

    1. Hi Birdie,

My human is very aware of the situations you endure in Canada. This makes us both very sad. You make some excellent points. The awful irony is that they make people who are sick, sicker. What you need is fairness and positive resources to help you get well. They are an evil lot.

      Pawsitive, hopeful wishes,

  21. Oh Penny! I know just how Gary feels. Well, almost. My ex husband is currently going through various assessments and he just can't cope. He's been drunk as a skunk and passing out every weekend for a month now. There's nothing I can do except stay on the phone while he rambles senselessly until he drops the phone and can't find it. When I hear him clattering around looking for it, I hang up.
I hope Gary gets through this and feels better soon and more able to cope. Give him a couple of good snuggles and licks.

    1. Hi human, River,

You ex husband, as you will know, needs vital help. He should be treated with dignity and somebody should be able to help represent him. I can imagine how helpless you must feel.

Gary was once constantly topping up with alcohol. It took a serious, life threatening visit to the hospital to turn him around. Let's hope your husband gets some assistance and compassion.

Gary copes much better than he used to. There is hope and Gary seemed beyond hope. So, here's thoughts that your ex husband gets the help that helps him cope.

Off to snuggle up to Gary. Then drool on him....

      Pawsitive wishes, your way,

      Penny

    1. Hi human, Jo,

Why, thank you kind human lady. I shall send some repawsentatives to many a land. The world needs compassion instead of corruption.

My human and I are both delighted that you visited. I shall come over and say hello in my best Jack Russell voice. My human is from Canada and now lives in England. A bit of a reversal to you.

  58. I'm always so interested in Penny's point of view. She has a way of putting things that gives a different perspective to typically banal or testy subjects. I appreciate her sharing this one with us and, I SO love the photo!!!! Go Penny!
