A Sense Of Calm In The Garden.

It had been another glorious late spring day.  And as the last remnants of the sun washed the sky with shades of pink, shades of blue, calmness came upon me in my tranquil English garden.

Night had fallen.  From the leaves came forth a glowing drop of moon.

I listened to the rustling leaves, the gentle song of a distant bird and the enchanting tune of the wind chimes.

Amongst the gentle radiance of the luminous solar lamps, I felt the soothing, calming ambience flowing from the 'wee folks'.  I smiled.  I strolled back into my home and savoured the sense of calm in the garden and in every fibre of my being.

  13. Hello Gary:
Of all the times in the garden it was always after dusk on a summer's evening that we enjoyed it most, not least for the way in which the scents were always most pronounced at that time of the night and for the way in which the colours would gradually recede and fade from sight.

I know you've worked hard on your garden, Gary, so it's good that it evokes such calm and tranquil feelings for you. As you know, I also emanate feelings of calm and peace, so much so that people often fall asleep when I talk to them. I wonder why that is?

  31. Wow. I've always had 'wee folks' in my gardens! In my childhood they were my only friends, since I had a mom with Munchausen by proxy, ready to hurt me INSIDE the house, my wee ones were my own little family that I kept safe.

I've never mentioned my 'wee ones'. I'm so glad YOU did. It certainly hit a chord I've failed to play for anyone else.

At age 62, my wee ones came with me when I moved last year 800 miles from the house of pain where I remained after my mother died.

Thank you so much. I'm near tears here.

  32. Hi lotta joy,
A somewhat sad yet inspirational comment you have left. And with the constant attention your mother expected, somehow you found the resilience to take you away from it all and embrace the enchanting magic of the 'wee folks'.
And dear friend, you move on and with you, the powerful, positive comfort of your 'wee ones' :)
If you so desire, by clicking on the link "wee folks" it can take you on a magical journey that demonstrates that the wee folks live in a world where stigma and judgement are alien concepts.
May you have a peaceful, enchanting weekend.
