Oh Nos To Schmackos!

Hi there!  Yes, it's me, Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet superstar!

I asked my human dad, Gary, as to why he hasn't done another pawst this year.  He replied, "Oh Penny!  Please, please, please, would you be so kind as to do an article?  I've got a trapped nerve in my left shoulder, Penny.  It's starting to feel better after nearly two weeks of feeling like I have a toothache in my left shoulder!  However, it's still difficult to type something."

Thus, my friend on the other side of the computer screen, here I be.  I don't mind taking over the peeboard.  Start again, I don't mind taking over the keyboard and pawblishing one of my must-read pawsts.
No automatic alt text available.

About a month ago, Gary was sitting on the chair in the living room.  He was munching away on some snacks.  "Oh yuck!  What the hell!?", Gary yelled.  This was followed by him making a mad dash to the kitchen sink.  I can vividly recall the ensuing puking type sound.

About five minutes before Gary freaked out, he had gone to an unlit kitchen and had grabbed a snack from the counter.  He thought the salami tasted kinda' odd.  Ah yes, human dad, Oh nos to Schmackos!

  1. I hope Gary feels better. Some people like dog treats I'm sure, just like some people like eating detergent pods.

    1. Hi human, Pat,

He seems to be getting better although I notice he's struggling to put on his coat or tie up his laces or put on his socks.

I know I like so-called human treats. So, I'm sure it works both ways. Eating detergent pods would probably turn a human into some kind of bubble machine.

    1. Hi human, Jemi,

The moral of the story is for my human dad to remember to turn on the kitchen lights and check what he grabs.

Thanks and I'm sure he's going to be just fine very soon.

  3. Penny, my mom and dad used to keep a little container of puppy cookies on the kitchen table for Cleo..their dachsie.....When people visited Mom would open the container and give them some 'cookies' for Cleo so they could make hard and fast friends. One chap thought the 'cookies' were for him and ate one. Dad asked him what he thought of them and he replied, "a little dry, but not bad". They never did tell him.
Too bad Gary didn't like your treats...or maybe, it's better he didn't....you wouldn't want him eating them all.

Cookies made out of puppies? I'm kidding! Arf! That's really funny about that one chap eating one of Cleo's cookies.

Ah yes, he's decided he's not a big fan of my doggy treats. As for me, I'm going to grab some of that salami.

Thank you, my nice human friend.

A mistake my human dad wouldn't of made if he'd bothered to switch on the key light first. Slightly less doggy treats for me but I did grab one of those salami sticks. Thank you, my kind human friend, Jess.

    1. Hi human, Alex,

He said it tasted like a chicken-flavoured belt. Had no idea my human dad likes to munch on belts. No wonder his trousers wont stay up properly!

I thought he might of then rinsed his mouth out with the water from my dog dish for at least an hour.

      Thank you, human dude.

  7. Well, this post was short but very, very funny. Don't tell Gary I said that :)

I'm sorry your dad's nerve is trapped. I can imagine how painful that must be, having had a simple pinched nerve in my shoulder years ago. It made me want to cut my arm off. There seemed no way to get away from the pain, even for a few moments. I hope it will improve quickly.

Thanks for the update and (very, very funny) post, Penny!

I thank you for your comment, my lovely human friend, Jenny.

Apparently it contained all the nutrition they ever needed and they would not even look at any other food. I have to say the bowl of crunchy cereal-like nosh looked really tempting but I always resisted. Because, you know Penny, it would a pretty dumb human who ate pet food eh?

I'd make sure he gives you extra pocket money this week, or perhaps even month, so you can get more Schmackos into the flat ... seems Gary survived though - good to know ... take care and remind him that light switches are for using ... they may be out of your reach, but are definitely at his level. Cheers to you both - Hilary
