Alphabet "L"!

 "Z - Y - X - W - V - U - T

S - R - Q - P - O - N - M - L - K

J - I - H - G - F  and E

D - C - B  and A

Now I know my Z - Y - X's

Wont you sing this song of perplexes......"

"Gary!  Wake up, human!"  "Huh!  What happened, Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet superstar?"  "Gary, you were dreaming about the alphabet, but you were mumbling it backwards!"

"Oh yeah, now I remember, Penny......I dreamt I was in alphabet hell!"
"I recall wandering into "The Alphabet Store." in Leek, Staffordshire.  In the store were a bunch of bloggers frantically searching for ideas for the "A to Z Challenge" that starts on April Fool's Day.  Suddenly, the group of bloggers noted me, Penny.  Like a frenzied mob, they started chucking letters of the alphabet at me.  Somebody yelled, "Take that, A!" I got buzzed by a bee, I mean "B".  I didn't see the "C" which conked me on the cranium.  I dodged the letter "D".  By the end of the alphabet onslaught, I managed to catch a few Zeds or Zees....."
"I thought the dream had ended, Penny. Then I drifted into the land of "O".  O no, I thought!   At least we've got the alphabet dream down to just one letter.  Uh oh, SpaghettiOs!"
"Penny!  Then the dream got much worse..."

Even though my human and I would never um dream of doing the A to Z Challenge, just to be ironic, here is the link for you if you're contemplating joining the challenge, Blogging from A to Z Challenge (April 2014)

My human, Gary, has gone back to sleep.  Probably catching a few more Zeds or Zees......

  20. Mr G and Penny . . . It really can be fun doing the A to Z Challenge I am always looking for a quirky take on it and have done the odd letter from time to time even when it is not April. Too many people see it as a some sort of test where they must do it come what may, I just think its a Jolly. And you still get far more visitors that I ever do even when I am nice to everyone on the A to Z. OK sort of nice. . . . . . OK I know I am not nice to folk, I am more grumpy.

Your friend got showered with a giant case of SpaghettiOs? Sorry that marriage didn't last. The A to Z of marriages? Gary overdosed on alphabet soup!

    1. Hi human, Tina,

Consider it a pawblic service announcement! Yes, my human and I despise the A to Z Challenge. Yet, despite that, we do try to bring awareness of something we feel hijacks the month of April and beyond. Such weird irony :)

Maybe you might visit The Alphabet Store :) A lot of your alphabet buddies were chucking letters of the alphabet at my poor Gary, there....

  52. How utterly sweet of you to give a shout out to something that isn't exactly your cuppa tea.

I won't be A to Z-ing (or Z to A-ing) this year, either. Taking the month of April off from blogging so I could concentrate on my writing worked out well for me last year, so I think I'll do the same this year. One of these years, maybe I'll fight it out with the alphabet again, because the one year I participated was kinda fun. Met lots of new people. BUT it sure does take up a lot of time. More power to all the folks who will be participating this year. May the force... and the dictionary... be with them

    1. Hi human, Susan,

Thank you and I wonder if the sharing, caring community of the A to Z will make note of my Alphabark challenge...ahem :)

You have your priorities, my dear human friend. I fight it out with them from a rather different angle. Last year and the year before, my human were here to support those who were struggling with the darned thing. Didn't get us any extra followers, but, as we both know, that should not be the main thing with it. They should be hit over the head with a dictionary :)

    1. Hi human, Deniz,

Yes, I agree, you are crazy! :) If it is so much fun, I wonder why I get emails from folks who struggle with it and ask me to pawst up some light-hearted humour about it. Something that a lot of those involved in the A to Z probably don't realise. Let's just chuck letters of the alphabet at each other.

I do hope you have fun with it, my dear human friend :)

    1. Hi human, Crystal,

Indeed, epic FAIL! :) We have done alternatives to that ridiculous alphabet challenge for the last couple of years. Of course, not joining the silly thing has meant we haven't accumulated a superficial amount of followers.

Backwards was so last year! And no, I'm not going to put in a link to prove that. We don't pawmote! Arf! Arf! Here's some British cheese for you, my dear human friend :)

Native North Americans. I did the backwards alphabet last year. Not this year. In fact, I can hardly wait for the A to Z to finally go away.

I have seen that movie. Take care, Susan.
