Beyond The Beach.


Tranquil seas, beyond the trees, immerse me with fond memories.  


I love to the see the beauty
The beauty in the sea
Where the waves roll in
And the waves roll out.


As the tides of change
Flow through my mind
I am one with the sea
And the sea is me.

    Wow, a poem! And one which, by the way, I like very much.
    It kind of reminds me of a little ditty by Pablo Neruda, which begins, "When I see the sea once more/ will the sea have seen or not seen me?"
    It would be nice to know where these pictures were taken. Where are you, Gary, my hirsute friend?

    Hi Gary. What I admire in you is the way you are able to rise from any set-back or low point and come up with something so positive and life-affirming as this post.
    It's really therapeutic, for me at least, to drift away to the sea in lovely calm thoughts.

    I love being at the sea too, the smell of salty seawater and soft sand and gentle breeze - it is all oh so calming. The sea is such an inspiring subject for poetry and yours is lovely. :)

    Hi Penny .. that old master of yours must think us southerners are intelligent .. that lady that sort of keeps an eye on me .. can't think to click through - much too much like hard work .. her calloused hands from so much touch typing and cleaning out my bird baths - - another click -- she thinks again.

    Hi Hilary,
    Well, Gary is actually a southerner, y'all. Whoops, that would be the wrong south. I mean Gary comes from southern England :)
    I know that the "old master" thought it might take away from the ambience he was trying to create if he put, 'click to enlarge' on the photos. I know that the photos fill up the entire computer screen. This might surprise you, but I particularly like the photos of me, yes me, Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet star.
    And please, don't let some 'turkey' steal the limelight from you. I think you are one gull of a bird.
    And, can you tell Hilary that it was very neat of her to realise, even without clicking on the photos, that it was indeed, Wales. Although you, being a herring gull, may have seen a few whales in your time.
