Dear Gary, Wow, a poem! And one which, by the way, I like very much. It kind of reminds me of a little ditty by Pablo Neruda, which begins, "When I see the sea once more/ will the sea have seen or not seen me?" It would be nice to know where these pictures were taken. Where are you, Gary, my hirsute friend? With Very Best Wishes, David.
Hi Gary. What I admire in you is the way you are able to rise from any set-back or low point and come up with something so positive and life-affirming as this post. It's really therapeutic, for me at least, to drift away to the sea in lovely calm thoughts. Click here for Bazza’s Blog ‘To Discover Ice’
Warm greetings, Delores, R. Jacob, Jeff, David, Joylene, Hilary, Old Kitty and bazza. Thank you for such uplifting comments and immersing yourselves in the tranquil, reflective ambience. In answer to the question as to where it is, I can confirm that is the coastline near Cardigan, Wales. If you click on the photos, they will enlarge. The second photo, once clicked upon, informs you of the location. Thanks again and may you have a peaceful, hopeful day. In kindness and warm wishes, your way, Gary
I love being at the sea too, the smell of salty seawater and soft sand and gentle breeze - it is all oh so calming. The sea is such an inspiring subject for poetry and yours is lovely. :)
Hi Penny .. that old master of yours must think us southerners are intelligent .. that lady that sort of keeps an eye on me .. can't think to click through - much too much like hard work .. her calloused hands from so much touch typing and cleaning out my bird baths - - another click -- she thinks again.
Great pictures though .. cheers Gull and the old girl Hilary
Hi Gary, Lovely photos of a beautiful setting! Lots of happy memories on a beach or along the coast, hopefully you have lots too! J Follow me at HEDGELAND TALES
Hi Shanaz, Yes, the sea can be so soothing. I drift back to those magical seaside moments and I'm transported to a happy and hopeful place. Thank you, my dear friend :)
Hi Hilary, Well, Gary is actually a southerner, y'all. Whoops, that would be the wrong south. I mean Gary comes from southern England :) I know that the "old master" thought it might take away from the ambience he was trying to create if he put, 'click to enlarge' on the photos. I know that the photos fill up the entire computer screen. This might surprise you, but I particularly like the photos of me, yes me, Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet star. And please, don't let some 'turkey' steal the limelight from you. I think you are one gull of a bird. And, can you tell Hilary that it was very neat of her to realise, even without clicking on the photos, that it was indeed, Wales. Although you, being a herring gull, may have seen a few whales in your time. Pawsitive wishes and feathery thoughts, your way, Penny :)
Hi John, Thank you and that's quite the compliment coming from a fantastic photographer such as you. Indeed, I too have lots of happy memories on the beach. A most positive focus :) Cheers, Gary
Hi Heather, Thank you for not leaving a comment. LOL eh. Seriously, I appreciate you noticing my various facets. And I'm speechless that I left you speechless :) Take care, Gary
Lovely pictures. I'm sitting by myself in my office, everyone else is off, it's very quiet. Next door are chatting and laughing so I'm reading blogs to make up for the lack of social interaction.
Hi Mrs Midnite, I'm really heartened you liked the photos. May you have been absorbed reading and viewing some wonderful blogs that embrace the ethos of social interaction. Wishing you peaceful thoughts, Gary :)
Hey Lenny! Thanks, my young buddy :) Oh, I so know what you mean about the sounds of the waves. Have an awesome weekend. Hugs and smiles from Mr. Gary and Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet star :)
I do try to comment back to each commenter individually. However, I might have to shorten my replies or give a group thank you. That way, I can spend more time commenting on your blogs. Thank you and peace, my friend.
What a beautiful, serene setting.
