My Human Dad Is Pawplexing.

Hi there, yes it's me, Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet superstar!  I notice it's a New Year.  I looked at the cat calendar we got.  Above the photo of some silly cat was the name of the month and year. January, 2014.  A couple of our human friends thought it would be real amusing to send us a cat calendar.  I can hardly wait to tell them what I thought of the cat calendar!

The number of times I've told my human dad, Gary, to be clearer when he puts up a pawsting, or posting. He wasn't very clear where I'll be living when he hopefully moves to a new place in May.  I'll be living with my human brother, Gary's son, Tristan, wherever he ends up moving to.  I will go and visit Gary in his eventual new home.  I need to keep showing him how to write better.  It's a slow process.

Twice in the last six years, we've had really nasty neighbours.  The ones that moved in about a year ago would deliberately start banging doors and thumping the ceiling.  They really made me nervous.  I started trembling a lot.  I was very proud of Gary and Tristan when the bullies below us got confronted.  Now I can sleep again without those horrible noises that made me so scared.

I know Gary has to move.  The garden he created has become too much.  By the time he'd get one part fixed, another part of the garden would need tending again.  The dude just can't cope with it and he receives no help.  So, I'm looking forward to him moving to a more manageable set up.  A place with a big balcony to make a garden.  I know the wee folks will make it magical.
Can you believe that I got an email in the past that doubted I write my own material.  Once again, the above photo is overwhelming proof that I do all my own pawblishing.
Above are a couple of photos from last spring as I was protecting the wee folks in our magical, enchanted garden..

My deluded human dad has noted that the latest "IWSG" aka "I Was Seeking Gary", is happening. Which means, his ego is off on another fantasy trip. I guess it's best to humour him. Although, "I Was Seeking Gary", is a convenient way for those involved to actually remember the order the letters go in.

The real group puts up a pawsting, or posting, on the first Wednesday of each month.  I see our blog list is being bombarded with those who are involved.  If you want to check out the real group, the info can be found here, Alex J. Cavanaugh: The Insecure Writer's Support Group

Here's to a peaceful, pawsitive 2014.  Must do something with that cat calendar....

  3. There are always the doubting Thomases. Hold your head and tail high and pay no attention at all. Your prose is unique and pawsitivly stirring, so we are sure of its authorship. As to the move. . . Yes. I see that as a necessity. Tending some pots of Aspidistras is manageable and I've heard wee folk are particularly fond of those. Here's to a safe haven for you and that human of yours. Oh and draw mustaches on those cats when he's not looking.

Those who would doubt just don't get the magic that I share with humans and other animals, alike. I'm the pawsitive pawblisher pawfecting pawetry, pawhaps.

Time to move on. If he had a gardening show come in and help him, he might be able to stay. Just too much work trying to keep up with the huge demands of a huge garden. I've heard that the wee folks also like a beanstalk.

Thanks for the safe haven wishes. Cats with moustaches. Excellent idea. Then I shall chew up the calendar.

  5. HI, Penny, Hi, Gary!

LOVE your magical garden. Too bad it's a strength for your Gary to keep up. Moving will bring a new peace and you will have that magical balcony!

All the best to the two of you for 2014. I should be a very productive and exciting year. We must keep positive and roll with the punches when they come. Never shall we hide behind our computers...

LIFE is for the LIVING. It's a beautiful world we live in despite our obstacles and those who wish to destroy it. We will keep positive and BANISH as much negativity as needed.

Great pics and hugs to you both!

  16. Not write your own pawststings, what on earth are they thinking? You know, Penny some folks just don't know real talent when they read it! As long as your human takes the wee folk with him I'm sure his new balcony will be just as magical as the garden now. And you'll be able to go visit, maybe even stay for the odd holiday? It'll be fun like having two houses.

I am sorry you don't appreciate your cat calender. I do find this hard as I am a cat servant here and we have to have one of those in our kitchen too! Although Tilly (our feline) does think the ones where the cat is made to dress up in silly clothes rather degrading, she would never been seen wearing a hat!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hi Suzanne,

I'm still in disbelief that somebody would question me about doing my own pawstings. I like to think my talent will inspire my human to write better. The wee folks will be magical on a magical balcony. I might just stay for an extended holiday whenever Tristan goes away on holiday. Yes, I will have two places to call my own.

Cat calendars are everywhere! You must take control back over from Tilly. Actually, maybe you could find a suitable hat for her. Take photos of Tilly and have a special calendar made of her.

  41. A cat calendar? That is blasphemy. It MUST GO!!!

Frankly, I don't know what Gary will do when you go to live with Tristan and he has to write all of his own posts. He will be pawplexed without a doubt. Maybe when you visit you could log on and write a little something to keep him focused. I am sure that he would appreciate your help.

A garden balcony sounds delightful and much more manageable. I hope that works out for Gary. The wee folk would love it.

Lastly, loud and disrespectful neighbors are horrible for dogs and people. I am sorry that they frightened you so. I hope your next address is filled with quiet and thoughtful people all around.

    1. Hi Robin,

Yes, that cat calendar has to be placed into the recycling bin! Horrible looking critters :)

Whenever Gary is struggling with his pawsts, which is just about always, he can phone me and I shall be at his new place taking over, once again. He is pawplexed at the best of times.

A garden balcony would be so much easier on Gary. It will also provide a safe haven for the wee folks away from the foxes and those darn wandering cats.

Nasty neighbours do indeed impact on animals and humans. Gary had worked so hard to make this a peaceful neighbourhood and with much success. To have more nasty neighbours move in was outrageous. They have been set straight. Thank you for you kind comment. A peaceful environment is on its way.

Although, she is very flattered that your cats swoon over her photo. She knows, that just like you, your cats are celebrities. Penny has stated that she is excited about living in a new place with Tristan. She knows she can come and visit me as often as she likes.
